I make humanistic photographs that captivate viewers for more than just a few seconds.
My philosophy is simple—to capture you at your most human. Inspired and influenced by Western realist painting and social documentary photography, I will photograph you in a lyrical, beautiful light.
I take a slow, measured, and supportive approach that will help you feel at ease and confident while you’re having your picture taken.
I also offer light retouching to enhance your natural beauty and presence, and to avoid giving the images an artificial look.
I work best with folks who are tired of stiff, posed portraits, and who want to work with a photographer who can help them feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
You don’t have to be an expert in posing—in fact, I’d prefer that you weren’t! The best pictures happen when we feel free to express ourselves, authentically, and not for the sake of performance. I create a warm and stress-free environment during my shoots, where you can feel free to be creative—and to be your very best self.
Have a look at my work and if you like what you see, get in touch. We can chat first to see if it's a good fit—I offer free 15-minute consultations.
I love working with artists, activists, actors, therapists and creative folks of all kinds.
Sliding scale rates are also offered. There are a limited number of spots available throughout the summer, so please get in touch soon to reserve your time.
I’m a Singaporean-American portrait photographer and practicing fine artist based in Brooklyn.
I received a BFA in Photography from Pratt Institute. My fine art work has been shown in galleries in New York City and Philadelphia.
