Size

550 sq. ft.

We are a professional couple subletting our beloved, large, fully furnished, sunny studio in the landmark London Terrace Gardens while we travel and work. This is an unusually large space for NYC at 550 sqft.

The apartment is on the 24th street side, 14th floor (it's an 18-floor building) between 9th and 10th. We've lived here for over 5 years and absolutely love it. We both work in the West Village/Greenwich Village area, and this has been an ideal spot.

We love this building, where classic pre‑war details meet modern convenience, with sweeping, unobstructed uptown views — see The Edge, Hudson Yards, and the Empire State Building. We are also close to Meatpacking and Chelsea Market.

It's a high-security, well-maintained, quiet, clean, friendly and respectful building with a mix of professional couples, single professionals, small families and long-time residents.

There are long-term, friendly staff (on-site manager, doormen, porters, package concierge, maintenance) who keep the place running smoothly. Once you are inside the building, it does not feel like you are in the hustle and bustle of Manhattan!

There are large laundry rooms in the basement, in-house cleaning and wash-and-fold/laundry/dry-cleaning services, an in-house maintenance team, and a large package room. There is a good A/C unit in the apartment, and internet, water and electricity are all included in the price.

Living Area: is a bright, open studio layout with distinct sleeping, living and dressing areas. It comes furnished (queen/full bed, sofa, dining table that seats 6, 4 new retro cushioned chairs, bar cart + matching bookshelves, chest of drawers). Most of the furnishings are modern mid-century style with warm colors.

There is a separate entryway where you can leave shoes, coats, and bags, and two large double wardrobes. We currently have the bed in the main area, but some people put it in the dressing room.

Kitchen: is a large separate room with a professional setup, including a stove, microwave, dishwasher and a complete set of cookware, dishes, glassware, and utensils — move-in ready for cooking and entertaining (we have dozens of great cookbooks). There is a SodaStream, a coffee maker, a bullet, and a blender.

Dressing room: dedicated closet/dressing area with two large white chests of drawers and a printer setup. Linen, tea towels, etc., and bath towels are included.

Bathroom: classic NYC style with black-and-white tile, full-sized tub and separate shower, towel warmer, large vanity and mirror.
