Hi there!

I'm subletting my live-in artist studio apartment in Red Hook, South Brooklyn from July 1st to July 31st.

I’m looking for a kind, responsible, clean individual or couple to sublet my space while I’m away.

Rent is $1,000 a week. I'm keen to host longer stays but am open to shorter visits at a pro-rated amount for the right person. A one-time cleaning fee of $200 applies to all stays.

My space:

My 1000 sqft apartment is located in Red Hook, arguably the best neighborhood in Brooklyn during the summer.

Dance under my disco ball, drink frozees at the new cidery, eat fresh oysters and clam chowder while watching the sunset over the Statue of Liberty, visit local artist studios during the monthly open studio tour weekends, or join in on some outdoor bluegrass sessions at Sunny's cash bar.

Located across from a peaceful park, my apartment offers an authentic Brooklyn experience: a quiet, spacious artist live/work studio with nearby subway and ferry access to Brooklyn and Manhattan, and the waterfront just a short walk away.

Located in an elevator building with accessible ramp back entrance, my apartment is sun-soaked with high ceilings, oversized windows, white-painted brick walls, natural hardwood floors, and warm, soft lighting. My air conditioning is superb.

My queen bed and comfy Pottery Barn L-shaped sofa make it a perfect space for a solo guest or a couple. There's also a sit-stand desk for anyone working remotely, plus a cozy living area with fast WiFi, a TV, and streaming services. An additional single guest mattress and duvet are available as well.

The kitchen is fully stocked and easy to cook in with a dishwasher, filtered tap water, coffee machine, new stove, microwave, and plenty of pots, pans, and dishes. The bathroom has its original tile and a walk-in shower. Laundry machines are right across the hall (and on every floor), and the building has an elevator and is extremely well maintained.

Cost per month includes:

• Rent
• Gas / Electricity & AC / Wifi / Streaming services
• Dedicated workspace
• Free street parking nearby
• Smoke alarm, CO alarm, fire extinguisher
• Plenty of light, quiet, and creative energy. Excellent vibes.

Getting around:

In the heart of Red Hook - steps from Van Brunt Street’s restaurants, bars, artist studios, and small batch beer makers. It’s a 10-minute walk to the waterfront for one of the best sunset views of the Statue of Liberty, and about a 25-minute walk to Brooklyn Bridge Park. There's a great brewery and new Cidery on the waterfront, record shop and local pinball machine museum where everyone plays for free.

The nearest subway is the F /G train (Smith–9th, about 15 minutes on foot). Carroll Gardens is an 18-minute walk. You can also take the NYC Ferry to Manhattan in 18 minutes - it runs hourly from the nearby pier, just a 5-minute walk away and a great summer option.

If you're a responsible, kind creative looking for a bright and peaceful apartment in Brooklyn please reach out. I’d love to have someone in the space who will enjoy my home as much as I do!
