East River Greenworks provides landscape design, installation, and ongoing garden maintenance throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Whether you're looking to completely redesign a terrace or backyard, refresh existing plantings, install irrigation, or simply get your outdoor space cleaned up and back in shape, we're happy to help.

Services include garden design, container gardens, planting, pruning, seasonal flowers, native and pollinator gardens, drip irrigation, mulching, weeding, power washing, leaf cleanup, shop vacuuming, and recurring maintenance. We also take on smaller one-time projects and seasonal cleanups.

I'm Erik, and I started East River Greenworks (Plant with Erik LLC) 3 years ago.

I started the company because I enjoy creating outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and easy to care for. I work directly with every client, from the initial consultation through installation and long-term maintenance.

Most of my work comes through referrals from existing clients, and I enjoy building long-term relationships with homeowners who want someone they can rely on season after season.

I'm equally happy designing a new rooftop garden or stopping by for a quick cleanup before guests arrive.

Background and Expertise

I have a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Agriculture and several years of professional experience designing, installing, and maintaining gardens throughout New York City.

My work includes rooftop and terrace gardens, container plantings, native landscapes, irrigation systems, seasonal displays, and ongoing horticultural care. I enjoy selecting plants that are well suited to each site's light, wind exposure, drainage, and long-term maintenance needs.

Every project is approached with an emphasis on good horticulture, practical design, and creating gardens that continue to improve over time.
